Define the installation work
Explain whether you’re adding a compressed air supply, replacing a compressor or relocating existing equipment. State whether the compressor is already on site, ordered or still to be selected.
Describe the proposed scope, including equipment positioning, connections to existing pipework and associated dryers, filters or air receivers. If removing an old compressor is part of the project, include that separately. Identify any work already arranged with other suppliers.
Equipment and premises information
Include the project details you already hold:
- The Edinburgh site postcode and type of premises.
- The equipment or activities the air supply will serve.
- The proposed compressor make and model, if selected.
- Documented air demand and pressure requirements.
- The intended position and known delivery or access restrictions.
- Existing pipework and electrical arrangements relevant to the project.
- The required completion date or available shutdown window.
Say which specifications need professional assessment rather than guessing them. Don’t investigate electrical or pressure equipment to complete the enquiry.
Delivery dates and outstanding decisions
If installation depends on equipment delivery, a premises handover or other work being completed, explain the sequence. Mention site plans or specifications you hold without copying confidential material into the form.
Equipment selection or the final position may still be undecided. Include these open questions alongside the work you know is required.
